A more precise way of examining your files

ShowSize is a handy file explore utility that allows you to categorize your system in a way not easily done with Windows’ built-in tool.

The ShowSize interface is, as you might expect, easy to use. It automatically detects your files and folders, giving you the option to process them. Once processed, you’ll be able to see exactly what’s taking up space, allowing you to make a more informed decision as to what to do.

Once ShowSize has indexed all your files, you’ll be able to filter and order them by almost any criteria you want. Use the tabs along the top to switch views, and right click on individual files and folders to see all the options. There are also different modes of viewing your system, as a graph or pie chart, for instance, while ShowSize also offers an effective search function.

Admittedly, ShowSize is more of a tool for users who already know what they want to do once they have the information – perhaps moving or deleting files. This app’s multiple filters – and the ability to perform actions on subsections – make it very versatile, and a great application to have on hand for when your files and folders start getting a little unwieldy.

If you want more control over your files and folders, ShowSize is the app for you.
